One of the most rigorous courses in the Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management program at Point Park is the SAE Marketing & Promotions class. Under the guidance of professor David Rowell, I was immersed in the world of promoting shows of all sizes, types, and in varying venues.
From content calendars to media purchasing, I was able to get hands on experience creating a mock-marketing plan for the Rolling Stones concert at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
Aspects of the project included promotional campaigns, radio purchases, SWOT analyses, market conditions, and more, in addition to managing the project budget.
